To ensure the highest level of quality and patient care, West Coast Fertility Centers has three laboratories located at our Fountain Valley facility. These laboratories provide services of testing and clinical applications available in Reproductive Technologies.

Embryology Laboratory

West Coast Fertility Centers embryology lab is directed by our certified Embryology Laboratory Director, Antoine La, ELD. The embryology laboratory is nationally accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), certifying that the lab is one of an exclusive group of reproductive labs in the U.S. that meet the highest standards of excellence.

The West Coast Fertility Centers IVF laboratory program includes services in all aspects of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). It includes IVF techniques such as oocyte/embryo cryopreservation, oocyte/embryo culture, ICSI, blastocyst culture & transfer, Preimplantation Genetic Screening (PGS) and assisted hatching among other IVF techniques.

Clinical Laboratory

The clinical laboratory plays a critical role in medical specialty with timely, reliable, precise, and accurate results. Our Clinical Laboratory is responsible for the blood hormone levels in patients undergoing treatment which allow Dr. Diaz to monitor the patient’s response to treatment and make adjustments as necessary.

Andrology Laboratory

Our fully accredited CLIA Andrology Laboratory performs a wide range of diagnostic tests in male infertility. The laboratory provides an extremely short turnaround for test results, a critical step in advanced reproductive technologies (ART) treatments.

The andrology laboratory performs all the evaluation, testing, preparation and storage of sperm specimens for our patients. Diagnostic procedures include semen analysis, preparation of sperm for fertilization and thawing of frozen specimens. Semen cryopreservation(freezing) and storage is provided to patients with additional partner samples when a fresh specimen is not available and in the near future will be available to preserve sperm for men requiring cancer treatment that might render them sterile. The andrology laboratory is also responsible for preparing semen specimens for intrauterine insemination. The andrology laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Reproductive Laboratory Program.
